Insanity Progress

Well here I am with my first project done by hand. I have been machine quilting for a few years and am still learning a lot.

As I was reading my e-mails a lot of people were talking about The Insanity Quilt, and I had to investigate. When I saw the picture I was overwhelmed and fell in love with it.Then I read 10,339 1/2 in. hexes, I said to myself no wonder they call it Insanity. Then I figured I was insane enough to do this, so here I am. INSANE lol.

I have 56 diamonds and 16 flowers done and I have cut 4000 of the white hexes for the background and I am loving every bit of it.

I have also made a great friend, her name is Rae Ann, she really has been my inspiration thru all this. We chat often on the phone and we have been exchanging fabrics back and fourth. The only sad thing is she lives in California and I am in New Jersey, but I know one day we will meet in person. We seem to have so much in common and like the same things.

Rae Ann has even helped me getting this blog going, computer smart I am not, but I am learning. I guess we are never to old to learn.

Will be posting more as I progress, hope you will enjoy. Till next post.

I knew you could do Ruth. Love your first post and I am happy to hear that you have almost completed all the diamonds needed for the center of the quilt. Once all the diamonds are completed, you will be ready to start putting it together.

Me too, I love those little hexagons. I will follow your progress. And good luck with your blog. I love blogs with hexagons.
