Hi,

These are pictures of a beautiful Christmas Card I received on an exchange from one of my groups.

It was stitched by my friend Fran, didn't she out do herself.

I do not plan on hiding it away, I want to be able to look at it often. So I am thinking of how I will display it. If you have any ideas, please feel free to let me know.

Have a great day, Ruthie

Christmas in July Ornament 2

This is the ornament that I made and sent to Suzzane. As I said it is the first ornment that I ever stitched. I stuffed it to give it a pillow effect. I like that better than putting them on a flat surface. I don't think I did too bad for the first time.
I was afraid it would come out horrible but it didn't. So I guess I will be making more LOL.
Feel free to leave any comments, as these help me to improve on my work.
Happy Stitchin Ruth

This is the lovely ornament I received from my dear friend Rae Ann. I wasn't expecting to get my ornament on time because my dear friend has been going thru some really bad times with health issues in her family. She still managed to get it off in time. I do not know where she gets her strength and will power that keeps her going.
The exchange was thru my Stitches and Stuff group. It was really fun. It was the first time I ever stitched an ornament for anyone. I will post picture of ornament I made in next post. Till then Happy Stitchin Everyone. Ruth

Hi,
Just wanted to keep you updated on my progress. This is what I have done so far.
Had a few unwanted visits from Mr. Froggy. He over stayed his welcome, not that I asked him to come and visit me. So I gave him the boot and demanded he not return again. Mean aren't I. LOL
Well I do not have to work for the next two days, so hopefully I will have another update for you either Wednesday night or Thursday morning before I go to work again. Oh why can't I win the lottery so I can stay home and stitch.
My dear friend Rae Ann is working on the same pattern as I am. I started before her, but I bet she is way ahead of me by now. She does things so fast, I don't know how she does it.
Like I said before this ismy first large project, but I am truly enjoying it. Thanks Rae Ann.
So for now I close. Hope you like what you see.

Quaker Christmas
Just wanted to post my start of Quaker Christmas. This is the first large project that I am attempting. This took me a day and a half to do.
This was a gift from my very dear friend Rae Ann from Ca . so I am hoping for a very good finish to this. I am enjoying it very much. I am stitchingit with Carrie Creation hand dye floss. I never used hand dyed floss before, and I really like it. Who knows maybe out with DMC. The hand dyed floss works very nicely.
I am hoping to have this done before Christmas. So keep your fingers crossed for me that I will make it in time. I do fight with the fabric alot as I do not use scroll or Q-snaps, I seem to fight with them more. Please feel free to leave comments.
Thanks Rae Ann for such a lovely gift. hope you will be pleased as much as me when it is finished. You truly are a dear friend. God Bless you.

Hello,
Had to share this with you. received this beautiful package from Emily from my I Love Crossstitch Group. She sent me si charms, seven lovely green threads and an aewsome piece of Quaker Linen in Colonial Blue. Blue just happens to be my favorite color. Just days before receiving this package I found a piece to stitch that was done on colonial blue aida fab. Do you think her spirit was here wacthing me read that magazine? I DO. LOL.
Now I have the task of searching for the right item to stitch on it. I was thinking a nice scenery or sampler. What do you think. Help me to decide. Thanks again Emily.

I will close for now, because I am hoping this will take. Glad to be part of this SAL.
