Snowman & Reindeer Cross Stitch Project

I finally decided on a Cross Stitch project. This is called Snowman & Raindeer, the Gold Collection from Dimensions. It took me forever to seperate all the floss. It was so hard to determine the color names given aganist the actual threads. I seperated and counted all the floss trying to match the legend, but it was still difficult, as many of the colors had the same number of strands. Unbelievable. I don't think they used DMC Floss, as no DMC numbers are given. I can't make any mistakes as I may not be able to match the floss. It's been years since I've cross stitched, but my nutty friend from California, Rae Ann, got me started again, because she wanted to learn how to cross stitch. I started stitch a couple of days ago, but I haven't gotten very far. I'll be posting my progress.

Welcome back to the world of stitching. I love your snowman and his friends and can't wait to see your progress. cyberstitchers.com has floss conversion chart and I do believe you can convert from Dimension to DMC.

This is really going to be a great project. I love it! But like you I hate to separate the floss and hope I have the right color. Very frustrating! Rae Ann and I are friends too:0) BTW here is the website for future use for the conversion from Dimensions to DMC

Sorting floss is the number one reason I don't do kits! Have fun stitching!

That's a very cute project! I agree with the pain of floss separating. I'd rather pick my own colors.

That will be a lovely project when it is finished. You can get more floss from Dimensions if you need it.

It's so nice your stitching again. I love the project you picked and try not to worry about those darn frogs. Hopefully Rene will keep them in toe.

Good luck with your new project. I don't do many kits anymore, but the last one I started, had the floss separated and it was so nice!!!

That is a very pretty design. So festive. If you run out of a color just contact Dimensions via their website with information and they are great about sending more threads.
